Just felt like drawing for fun

So this is what I got. It is done on 11x14 pastel paper. I used a sage green page and white charcoal. it's a lamp thing that I have at home. It's lavender but I just wanted to use white charcoal for a change and I love it on the colour paper. It's just a paper lamp with some flowers around the bottom. they aren't perfect on the lamp either. I should post a reference picture, but I'm far too lazy. I got it from Ikea and love it because 1. it's purple. 2. it's from Ikea :) So it's wrinkled in many places...and i didn't really do a good job shading. It took me about 5 minutes of drawing. But I like the piece anyway!

Heh, drawing just for fun or for yourself tends to create art that we like---from personal experience. I used oil pastel sticks on charcoal paper and it is very pretty on it, albeit messy and sticky (yech). Good contrast too.

Do you like working with charcoal?

That, after just 5 minutes?!?! That's very good, actually.
